Shibata Toku Shoten

Tokugoro Shibata, the fifth-generation Shibata Toku Shoten, has been designated as an intangible cultural property of Fukuoka City, and continues to be widely loved and loved by citizens as craftsmanship of Hakata Magemono. 

Shibata Toku Shoten, the only atelier in Fukuoka City that produces Magemono, offers integrated production from sawmilling to processing and painting. In recent years, it has been expected to use materials from sawmills, but at Shibata Toku Shoten, they dare to do everything. This can be said to be a cultural asset.

Today, Yoshiko Shibata cherishes the tradition that has lasted for 300 years.
