About the work

A piece expressing "a letter", which exists since ancient times, from unique perspective. A Japanese letter is designed on a background of randomly-spilt, diluted solid ink.

Scumbled white, reminiscent of the brilliance of jewelry, is painted over the letter. Scumble expression is a common expression method in Japanese art. The letters depicted in this work has meanings of "flower", "gorgeous" and "brilliant".
