"Fukushima Prefecture has a peony garden where about 40,000 peonies are in full bloom. In Japan, a peony is likened to a beautiful standing woman. Their powerful and beautiful appearances look like the ones of people who stood up from the earthquake. I created the work with prayers for the souls of those who were victims with gold leaf shining forever."
