Harper’s Bazaar is a fashion magazine that was first published in the United States in 1867, thus giving it a proud history as the world’s longest-running fashion magazine. Following the end of the Civil War, Harper’s Bazaar became a sort of fashion bible for American women who were finally able to afford fashionable things. During the Art Deco period, women who looked like fashion models and wore the latest fashion were often introduced in Harper’s Bazaar, and women who could be drawn on ceramic pieces came to be sought after by various businesses, including the women published in magazines. Much like Lady Daisy, Lady Green Eyes was a popular female figure who was highly representative of the Art Deco movement.
