About the work
The Palazzo Vecchio tower is one of the symbols of Florence. At the top of the tower is a bronze lion statue that functions as a wind vane. To the south of Palazzo Vecchio is the Uffizi Gallery, and further south, the Arno River runs from east to west. There used to be a legend that it rains when the lion statue of the tower faces the river.
