About Exhibition

Shoichi Kamisuzuki is a painter who has devoted nearly five decades to the presence of the horse. From ranches and stables in Nasu, he captures breath, morning light, and the feel of the air—moments that emerge in oil paint with tangible clarity.

He has received multiple awards at the “Horse Painting Exhibition” organized by the Japan Racing Association (JRA) and has also created the official portraits of Hall of Fame horses Orfevre and Gentildonna. His works were featured in the art collaboration for the TBS Sunday Theatre drama The Royal Family (2025).
