With the support from the J.C.C. Fund (Philanthropic Fund of Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in New York), The Nippon Club will open “The Nippon Club WEB Gallery" in order to introduce Japanese culture on a national and global level.
As a kick-off, from September 17th to October 14th, with the cooperation of the Consulate-General of Japan in New York,
The Nippon Club Open Call for WEB Art Exhibition “Forward Together!” will be held.
“The Nippon Club Open Call for WEB Art Exhibition” will be held in order to support the creative activities of artists living in the Tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, who were forced to stay home due to the new coronavirus pandemic and related restrictions.
We have asked artists to submit artwork by making public calls on the Internet and have received 54 entries. As a result of strict screening, 15 excellent works were selected.
Now, we would like to introduce the selected artists and their excellent works on this newly launched “The Nippon Club WEB Gallery.” All of the works of art have a purpose of introducing Japanese culture, US-Japan cultural exchange, or supporting everyone during the pandemic.

Additionally, an "Ambassador's Prize" showcases some of the outstanding works at the residence of the Consul General of Japan in New York. Although not open to the public, selected works will be seen by people visiting the official residence, and the exhibition will also be introduced on the Consulate’s SNS etc. The display period will be from late October to late February of next year.
